TrueReckon — AI systems for professional practices

We automate the work that can’t be wrong.

AI systems for law firms, professional fiduciaries, and accountants — built by the team that runs Probatelink, a live fiduciary-accounting operation where every figure ties to the penny or it doesn’t file. We start by telling you honestly whether AI is even worth it for your practice.

The reality

The hard part was never the AI.

In a practice where the numbers carry liability, the work that eats your people isn’t the judgment — it’s the grind underneath it. Statements from a dozen institutions, half of them scanned into images your software can’t read. Figures that have to reconcile to the penny before anything is filed. One wrong carry value and it’s your name on the objection.

Software vendors sell you a tool and leave the grind — the OCR failures, the messy records, the reconciliation — for you to discover in production. That’s the part that actually decides whether AI works.

We know, because we’ve already paid for every one of those edge cases in a live operation. That hard-won ground is what we bring — not a demo, and not a promise.

The proof · a case study

ProbateLink: the operation behind TrueReckon.

Not a pilot. A 34-year fiduciary-accounting practice, running on real Los Angeles Superior Court filings — the exact kind of exacting, records-heavy work most vendors won’t touch.

Problem

Every accounting meant reconstructing months of activity from statements across many institutions — brokerage, trust, and bank — often scanned, out of order, or OCR-hostile. Each schedule had to tie to the penny and match the format the court requires, or it drew an objection.

Built

A reconciliation-first pipeline that ingests messy statements — surviving the OCR failures that stop everyone else — keys each transaction, and builds court-ready Schedules: Receipts and Disbursements, Property on Hand, gains and losses, income versus principal. Nothing advances until it reconciles.

Result

One operator now produces court-ready accountings that used to take a team — with a court-designated §730 expert accountable for every figure. The engine is proprietary; the discipline is what we bring to your practice.

Credentials on record: Denise M. Moore — probate/trust specialist since 1983, Evidence Code §730 accounting expert designated by the Los Angeles Superior Court (2014–2018), 1,000+ estate and trust accountings on estates from insolvent to $300 million.

How it works

Three steps. You can stop at any of them.

We don’t start with a build. We start by finding out whether you should have one — and we’ll tell you plainly if the answer is no.

AI Readiness Review

A 15-minute diagnostic with a real “not a fit yet.” It scores one process across the things that actually predict success — and won’t tell you you’re ready when you aren’t.

Your review turned into a written, practice-specific plan: the one process to start with, the data-prep it needs, the time and cost it would save, the real risks, and a phased build sequence. Yours to keep and act on with anyone.

Build & deliver

If you proceed, we build it and run it — with a qualified human accountable for every output. We don’t hand you software and walk away.

Scoped

Who it’s for

A narrow practice, on purpose.

We work with practices that look like the one we already run — document-heavy, deadline-driven, and accountable for figures that must be right. If that’s not you, we’ll say so.

Built for

  • Probate, estate & trust law firms
  • Professional fiduciaries and trustees
  • Accountants and small trust departments
  • Title & escrow — records-heavy, accuracy-critical work

Not the right fit

  • Work that’s bespoke, one-off, or pure judgment
  • Volume too low to justify the build
  • High-stakes output with no way to verify it
  • Anyone wanting “AI” for its own sake

Why TrueReckon

What you can’t get from a software demo.

A

A real “no.”

We’ll tell you when AI isn’t worth it for you. An honest gate is worth more than an eager pitch — and it’s how you know the yes is real.

B

Proof you can’t screenshot.

A live, in-production accounting operation on real court filings — not a sandbox. We were our own first client.

C

The edge cases are already paid for.

OCR failures, reconciliation, messy records: we hit them years ago so you don’t discover them in production.

D

A human is accountable.

Every output that leaves the practice has a qualified person behind it. We deliver finished work, not software you have to babysit.
